Shadow Story

Telling a story with shadows.

The narrative is simple but ambiguous. Someone is up a ladder. Someone is at the bottom of the ladder. What they are talking about is up to the imagination.

Upstaging and overshadowing the narrative in this shot however, is how the story is told: through shadows. The length of the shadows suggest early or late in the day (late winter afternoon actually). And the lines receding into the distance from a wide base suggest the image of a ladder.
