Orange tree

Charlotte, both editor and reporter for the church paper, is interviewing Robin, and asks him about the oranges in the back garden.

Charlotte: What are they? Navel? Valencia? Parson Brown?

Robin: Ha, ha. Certainly not Parson Brown, too seedy. No, they’re plain Valencia.

Charlotte: Heavy crop. Who gets them? The landlord? You? The needy?

Robin: The landlord, no. Directly me. And indirectly the needy.

Charlotte: Indirectly?

Robin: I pick them, we eat the good ones, juice a few, and marmalade the windfalls.

Charlotte: And the marmalade goes to the church bazaar?

Robin: It's that Parson Brown. He leans on me.
